Blue Marie Strawberry thought the hardest part of starting high school was over.

But when her close friend Maya returns from vacation, things don't feel quite the same. Maya has new friends, new stories, and suddenly Blue feels like she's trying to catch up to a version of their friendship that has already moved forward.
